About the artist:
Liz Moore creates fiber installations and sculptures that explore the formal language of tactile materials in relationship to the female body. Moore's large scale sculptures attempt to negotiate the continuum of dichotomies often implicated in perceptions of the female body (along with the artist's self-perception) - such as visual and physical violence, grotesqueness vs. beauty, pain and pleasure, monumentality and levity/playfulness. Moore recently completed her MFA at Washington University, St. Louis in 2020.
